Deaf Puppy & Dog Training
Training a deaf puppy / dog is possible. Our Puppy Manners, Teen Manners, and Adult Dog Manners Classes all can be tailored to the unique needs of deaf dogs.
Getting Ready for Baby
This class teaches how to prepare the dog for the arrival of a new family member.
Items to be covered:
- Decisions that need to be made about how the dog and baby to interact
- Getting the dog used to the noises and smells that babies make
- Getting the dog used to baby things including baby furniture and the stroller
- Bringing baby home and introducing the dog to the baby
- Family time —> day to day living with a baby and dog
- Cues: leave it, go to bed/place, relax, wait, go first
- Length: 2 sessions of 1.5 hours
Note: this class can be incorporated into all Manners 2 Classes
Cost: $165 (Knox County), $180 (within 10 miles of Knox County line), $165 PLUS $0.20 per mile (beyond 10 miles of Knox County line)
Private Targeted Training Classes
For people and their dogs who only need to work on a few things like:
- Walking On A Leash
- Greeting People at Home
- Greeting People and Dogs Out In The World
- Dog Park Etiquette
- Come: Any Time, Any Place
- Dealing With And Preventing Destructive Behavior At Home
- Confidence Building For The Shy Dog
Cost: $55 for Knox County, $65 for 10 miles beyond Knox County, $55 + $0.20 per mile 11 miles and beyond
